We needed a lot more storage in our Master Bedroom re-do. But it's difficult to find a dresser with A LOT of drawers that doesn't become a focal piece in the room. Right? So the plan: create a lot of drawers with a dresser that will blend into the background. Here's what we did:

Ikea Malm 3 drawer dresser (HERE)

1. We removed the baseboard on this wall.

2. Slid three of these dressers together side by side.

Our bed arrived over the weekend! We ordered it about 7 weeks ago, and now that it's finally here I don't think I've ever been so in love with one piece of furniture. Here she is in all her glory:

Ever since we finished the shiplap I've been at a standstill waiting for this bed. Unlike for others, where I can whip up an entire room design at once, for myself I can never seem to do that. I think the luxury of knowing you can change your mind at any time greatly affects the pace...

The wood floors are in! It's amazing how flooring can change a room so drastically. We lived out of our bedroom all of last summer when we were remodeling the kitchen and the carpet got so wrecked. We continued the flooring we have in the rest of the house into our room, it's by SLCC in their Milky Way Collection in color Venus. I just love the wide planks and rustic feel! Excited to have this first step down, because now it's time to roll up our sleeves! It's major DIY time. Here we go!
