The Master Plan, for now.
We've finally come up with the plan for the Master Bedroom. It's been edited no less than 1000x, and I'm anticipating even more changes as we pull the trigger on each item. But at least the layout, lighting placement, and bones of the room have been established. Details still pending. As always. Absolutes: rug | nightstand | "kick it" prints | wave photography print Here's the transition of the room so far with the wood flooring put in: Next up is shiplap! Stay tuned...

An Empty Hallway: Solved
Whenever I'm stumped on a space, I move on. I pretend it doesn't exist, nor does it need my attention. A perfect example of exactly that, is our upstairs hallway. The long wall has been completely empty since the day we moved in. I just never could decide what to hang there. Everything felt out of place, or too forced. 5 Favorite Small Shops
We have a local handmade market here in southern Orange County called Mermade Market. I look forward to it every season, and rarely walk out empty handed. Because let's face it, you either change diapers all day long, or you can still sm

Master Bedroom Remodel: Floors
The wood floors are in! It's amazing how flooring can change a room so drastically. We lived out of our bedroom all of last summer when we were remodeling the kitchen and the carpet got so wrecked. We continued the flooring we have in the rest of the house into our room, it's by SLCC in their Milky Way Collection in color Venus. I just love the wide planks and rustic feel! Excited to have this first step down, because now it's time to roll up our sleeves! It's major DIY time.
